OTSP says: On The Same Page is so pleased to be partnering again this year with BOOKMARKS, and everyone is invited downtown this coming Saturday to enjoy books, great authors, wonderful programs, and a beautiful day in Winston-Salem’s Downtown Arts District!

BOOKMARKS says: Since BOOKMARKS‘ inception, we have had a great relationship with the Forsyth County Public Library. This year is no exception. We are thrilled to be a part of the On the Same Page programs once again. On Saturday, September 11 from 10 – 5, BOOKMARKS will host its sixth festival in the downtown arts district centering on Sixth and Trade Streets in Winston-Salem. The library will have two booths – one just for children – with a puppet show and special age appropriate activities in the Young Readers Area at the Downtown School / City Market Stands. Another booth for children through adults will be on Exhibitors Row on Trade Street. Stop by and learn more about what is going on at the library!

In addition, there will be a special panel with mystery writers, Bonnie Doerr, John Hart and Erica Spindler, from 11 – 11:45 a.m. in the Blue Room. In honor of the 2010 pick of The Maltese Falcon, these authors will discuss how to write a mystery. Erica will also speak in the Blue Room from 1 – 1:45 p.m. and John will do a program in the Speak Easy from 2 – 2:45 p.m. All programs are located in the basement of the Millennium Center. These three writers are fantastic mystery writers — Bonnie tackles eco-mysteries for teens; Erica writes award-winning thrillers, and John has received top prizes for his three mysteries.

Please participate in this year’s BOOKMARKS Book Festival. Support your library as well as the writers and readers in the area – and beyond!
